Ryan participated in the pine wood derby with his cub scouts.
The ward went all out for decor and prizes.
I was impressed!
I don't think I got a close up of Ryan and his car :(
He did awesome! His car won every single race it was in!
He made it to the finals! On the championship run, to determine who was taking home the gold, he lost! It was a little shocking! He beat the car he was racing once already but on the final race when it counted . . . second place.
He was a little disappointed but was a great sport about it anyway.
He walked away with this cute pinewood derby car made out of candy bars. And a few bragging rights anyway!
It was a fun evening!
He and Terry ended up making two cars actually. The first didn't meet the requirements for axle placement so they went to work on one that would.
It was some fun times with his daddy :)
