Getting Ready for Baby!!

Okay so baby is due to arrive in 5 weeks!!
Actually 4 if I go ahead and let them induce me!

I think along with the fact that I live in Charlotte, the baby coming is the other thing I have been in denial about :)

At this very moment I have not packed a single bag, folded a single onesie or bought any diapers, wipes or baby things.

We did buy a few outfits when we found out it was a girl. But all the stuff that people have so generously given me is still in a pile in the back of my closet.

We don't have a crib or car seat and so far I don't have ANYTHING of a personal nature for when baby comes, nursing bra's, pump . . . stuff like that.

What is my deal?  Well I know exactly what my deal is and someday I will share all the details, but for now lets just suffice to say this pregnancy has been HARD on me!!

Physically I am doing great. Still busting out 3 miles a few times a week (I did move from treadmill to eliptical recently, so the miles don't really count anymore). I even managed to do 3 miles in 30 minutes just a few weeks ago (on the treadmill) . . . I was sore to the point of not being able to walk really well for a couple of day, but hey, I guess I had something to prove to myself. It was a bad idea! I'll have to explain more why later. It was this event that triggered a downward spiral that I have had to fight with harder then any trial ever in my life!!!!

Mentally and emotionally . . . . not doing so good.

I have had to deal with and experience more this time around then ever before. I have been able to have some pretty sweet spiritual experiences because of it and I have gained a lot of empathy for some things I know people have to deal with on a daily basis. But holy moly it's been a CHALLENGE! Never in any pregnancy I have I thought "I never want to do this again" until this one!

Yeah, it's been bad!!!!

I will explain . . . . later . . . . .like after I deliver probably, when I'm not in the middle of it  :)

We are still very excited for baby to get here, can't get here fast enough for me actually, even though I have done NOTHING to prepare.

We have picked out a name though!

First time in the history of Davis children that we have named a baby before seeing it!

Janie decided to have a belly competition with me and the other girls got in on it too.

I think I beat them all!!

5 weeks to go and it can't GO fast enough!!!

I guess I better start getting a few things ready!
