She woke up to birthday balloons.
These Monday birthdays are killing us this year. We have to remember to buy balloons on Saturday. By Monday they are barely floating (Dalyn had this problem) or like with Janie, we forgot to get them Saturday. SO bright and early Monday (like 4:30, because we have 5:30 scripture study and the only store open was Walmart, 20 minutes away) Terry drove to Walmart so Janie could wake up to balloons.
And she had no idea of course but was thrilled with her balloons!
Her requested breakfast, pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, bacon and strawberry milk (she only ate the bacon)
She wanted to open one gift that morning, so we let her . . .
She also wanted to skip school . . . so I let her :)
We spent the day at the park . . .
Having a picnic . . .
Feeding the ducks and geese . . .
Playing in the sand . . .
Being presented with gifts like she was a queen . . .
She didn't want a cake. She wanted pumpkin pie. I made one for the family to cut up and eat and her own individual . . .
Because she was super excited to smash her face in the whipped cream. And i was pretty sure no one wanted to eat pumpkin pie after she did that :)
We also headed to Kate Skate again. . . .
She is getting to be quite the little blader . . .

They do skate races by age.
Janie is all lined up for hers.
She ended up winning!
All the kids won their races that night!

Janie looks at the moon on all of her birthday's.
One year, I think it was the year she turned 5, the moon was HUGE on the night of her birthday.
It looked like you could touch it.
I told her it was her birthday moon.
Ever since then she looks to see if she gets a birthday moon again . . . .
She didn't this year.
Maybe next year!
We sure love our Janie! Happy Birthday Mainy!
