Now you might be saying, "That looks an awful lot like Ryan!" Yes, Yes it does. Jacob is the little man that lives in Ryan's head. We were introduced to him the other day in the car. Driving past the car wash Ryan asked if we could go there. I told him we did not have money for the car wash today, maybe another day. His response, "There is money at my friend Jacob's house, you can drop me off over there and I will get it."
Since then Jacob has been the cause/reason for a number of things, He is the reason Ryan doesn't have to eat any dinner I fix that he does not like, "I already ate dinner at Jacobs house, so I am not hungry."
Why his hair has a huge chop out of the middle of it, "Jacob taught me how to cut my hair."
Why it is so unjust he be required to do chores, "At Jacob's house there are no chores."
Why he does not need to find is shoes or coat to go outside, "I can't find them because I left them at Jacob's house."
And as always there is plenty of money for whatever he needs or wants at Jacob's house, if only I would just take him over there so he could get it. If only!
We get a daily earful of all of Ryan and his friend Jacob's adventures including scuba diving with giant octopus, and fighting dragons that spit fire at them. It has been very entertaining! None of the other kids have ever had an imaginary friend, I think it is cute but it really makes me nervous too. Of all of our children our most accident prone does not need anyone/anything else putting ideas in his head.

Bekah had one too-Swiper the Fox from Dora-it didn't last long-just a couple months, but man that sneaky fix got her into all sorts of trouble!
