Funny things my kids have said . . .

We just celebrated Terry's birthday. The next morning the cake was still sitting on the counter. Raegan walked over and started picking at it. I said "Raegan don't eat cake for breakfast."

She said "Oh I'm not . . . I'm only eating the frosting."


As soon as Ryan walks in the door from school he always asks to have something sugary. The other day he asked for soda. I said, "Why do you need to have soda?"

He said, "Cuz I'm not gonna drink water or beer, so I just want soda."

Janie was spending the afternoon at my moms house and a neighbor brought over a box of tomatoes. Janie said, "I hate matoes, dey yucky." Grandma said, "Oh, I think they are delicious."

Janie said, "Dey not 'licious, dey yucky! Dey taste like matoes!"

Ryan was helping me make a dessert to take to a BBQ. He said, "I am a really good chef." When we put it in the oven to bake he asked if we could play a game while it cooked. I said,"The first game we need to play is called clean up the kitchen because really good chefs always clean up when they are done cooking."

He said, "No really good chefs are the king of all chefs and they don't have to clean up."
