Thar She Blows!!!

Well our car hunt has ended! Actually it ended right after we got home from our Ashland excursion. Terry found this one on Craigslist the next day. The lady had two listed this one and a 1979 firebird. I voted for the firebird, only Terry could fit in it because all the other seats were missing, who needs functionality? It looked pretty tough, but not enough, cuz apparently firebirds aren't tough enough for Mr. Davis, whatever. So now we get to drive this . . .

She's a real beaut ain't she? I can say ain't, in fact I have to because this car is SOOO red neck! 1988 Chevy Celebrity, all four doors close(with s'eption to the drivers side but you really won' notice any pro'lem 'til the firs' good rain, an' the water leaks in 'round the seal, but jus' wear a slickery an you are golden!), the paint is rusted and peeled all o'er the whole thang so you cin go months, or heck years 'tween washins', the hood is only partly rusted through an' only the passengers side lock is drilled out, an' that hole in the muffler, jus' lets ever' body know, you have arrived! SWEET! With 147,000 miles an a full tank, we did purty good at 250 bucks!

So on the rare occasion that I am forced to drive it, if you see me and I duck and cover you will understand why :)! (which reminds me, I should really work on being less prideful :]

Ha ha that's so awesome! I am in fact very jealous, because we're trying to get rid of our car so we don't have a car payment, and don't worry, I know how you feel...have you seen Blake's 1986 Toyota 4runner? Because I'm pretty sure it'll make you feel better about your car, because it at least has interior I bet :) Your post was hilarious and I'm still cracking up :)

Woot Woot! A second car and no car payment? I call it priceless! And think of the fun stories your kids will have to tell from all your fun new adventures in a "vintage" car!! LOL I love it. I really do.
