We Love October

So it is fitting that I would be posting Halloween pictures so late because in all actuality, I did not take a single Halloween picture ON Halloween! Not one, I had my party for preschool and that went great, then the kids came home from school and I was busy preparing our fun Halloween dinner, and spooky after school snacks, then it was time to get the kids ready in there costumes and make up and hair, then we were off to trick or treat. Terry had a youth dance he had to be to at 7:45 so we were turbo treaters. Anyway by the time we got home it was bed time the kids were tired and cold and crabby so we did the beeline to bed for them and when I finally sat down to relax I realized, I DID NOT TAKE A SINGLE PICTURE!
So the only solution. Saturday evening before bed we repeated the Entire get ready for Halloween process so that I could get some pictures! Including spraying Dalyn's hair black, which leaves such a fabulous mess in the bath tub, that I got to clean out twice, lucky me! Anyway we had a blast.
The night we got the Halloween box down from the attic the kids of course had to try on their costumes. We lucked out this year and EVERYTHING we need, was in the box, AWESOME!

Anyway than we let the kids make their own Carmel apples, always a fave!
Here are some pictures of our pre-Halloween festivities. We took the kids to the local corn maze, only 20 minutes to find our way through (I did cheat and look at the map once) When Dalyn saw what I was doing he said "A MAP? A MAP? We don't need no stinking map!" And I guess we was right we got out pretty fast!
There was a pumpkin patch there, so the kids got to pick out their own pumpkins. Graeson insisted on carrying hers the entire way back to the car! I'd ask, "Graeson, do you want me to carry that for you?" her response a very forceful "UH-UH" well okay then!
They all had a great time carving their own pumpkins too. Terry drew the face and they went to work!
I was impressed that Ryan actually did his own with very little help.

Over all we had a great October! Halloween is one of our Favorites!

How cute!! Blake and I have been anticipating your blog of the kids' costumes. Everytime I would get on here, he'd ask, "Did she post pics of the kids in their costumes yet?" We even tried to guess what they would be. We thought Dalyn and Ryan would be superheroes (Ryan was the only one we were right on) and we guessed Raegan would be a princess and Graeson a pumpkin. Oops. But they were even cuter than what we thought. Wish we could've been there :)

Looks like so much fun. I haven't gotten around to posting about Halloween yet, though I did take pictures. You're better than me, I think I would have bagged the picture idea for next year. You are dedicated!
