THE DAVIS BILL

So a family friend gave my DHS story to a state legislator in town and he called me

the other day to say "thank you, thank you, thank you" for taking some action. He

said this is such a huge need around here to get some major reform in the way of

child services especially in this county. The number of stories I have heard after

this incident with our family is astounding! I can't believe how many people have

been bullied by this system! Anyway he is putting together a bill and he is calling

it the DAVIS BILL that would provide just such a reform! I am SOOOO excited! He said

it will be maybe years before we see any actual laws, but the ball is rolling and I

for one do not intend on backing off the push!!! YAY AMERICA! Right now I am

collecting stories from any family that has had experience with DHS to submit to him

to use when the legislators meet again in January, so if you know of anyone or have

one yourself, the more we can show that this is an ongoing, continual problem the

better our chances are! But how exciting to be able to have the opportunity to

affect some change in a system that so desperately needs it!
