Canner Crazy!!

I have been somewhat of a recluse lately, but all with good reason, it is canning season. I was extra motivated this year because we had depleted our supply so much over the last year. our garden was EXTREMELY pathetic. These are the two (yes only two) ears of corn that we harvested, and yes that is a toothpick next to them, so sad!

But thanks to great neighbors and parents who had a plethora of squash and green beans I was able to catch up in that department. Also my dad went to Medford and pick 160 lbs of peaches for me and my grandma contributed with the most beautiful tomatoes I have ever seen, 100 lbs of tomatoes actually!

All in all here is our last count

Green Beans 36 quarts

Carrots 22 quarts

Tomatoes 58 quarts

Squash 46 quarts

Pears 40 quarts

Peaches 102 quarts

Plum Jam 20 pints

Peach jam 9 pints

Peach puree 3 pints

Total 303 Quarts of Food.

We still have 5 trees full of apples, but I don't even want to think about that, I might really loose my mind, or the skin on the end of my fingers:)

Holy Cow! IMPRESSIVE!! The most I've ever done is can about half as much as that (maybe even less) and it was HARD work! I was fullfilling, but long and tedious! My hat goes off to you!

Hey I am glad you mentioned your apples, do you think you might have a bucket or two you would want to donate to the Ward Halloween party again this year for the apple cider press?

FANTASTIC FOOD STORAGE!!! I remember the days when me and my mom and grandma canned peaches. We could can about 20 to 30 bottles in a season. I loved those peaches!

Hi Sara, I hope you don't mind me looking at your adorable blog, Blake got the address for me. I'm actually pretty new to blogging, and we don't have cute kids to blog about yet so it might not be way exciting but you can check out mine whenever. Me and Blake had so much fun reading your blog. We both sat and chuckled as we read it and looked at the pics of the kids. So cute :)

What the.?!? That is pure crazy, but fantastic! My peaches totaled 30 Quarts and 12 pints and I'm dreading pulling everything out again to finish up the 2 more boxes of apples I still have. Your storage room looks beautiful, with all the pretty colors.
