CONFESSION: I am a huge crybaby, a bawler, a big boob (don't have them, am one:)!So the kids have been really excited to start the school year. This is Raegans first year in kindergarten so Dalyn is stoked to have her at school with him, they get to ride the bus together, and have lunch together and recess, tons of fun.
I promised to take them to their classes the first day so they would know where to go and make sure the teacher knew how they were getting home (one of her concerns was getting on the wrong bus.) So Dalyn's drop off was smooth, same teacher as last year, he knew most of the kids in his class, as soon as he walked in the door
about three of them yelled "Dalyn's here" and he was set.
about three of them yelled "Dalyn's here" and he was set. Then I walk Raegan down to her class. There she is all tiny with her huge backpack, and pink teddy bear (requested by the teacher) and we stand in line to meet the teacher, and she says "Hi Raegan, I'm Mrs. Bailey, I am so glad you are in my class." And I loose it (how embarrassing) The teacher looks up at me and sort of freezes like "Oh great, you're one of THOSE!" So I try to pull it together so I can tell her how Raegan will be getting home and that she has a brother in second grade that will be on the bus with her, I managed to keep my voice in check, sort of, but
the tears were obvious. I took a few pictures just cuz I had to and made my swift escape. So the first day went great for the kids not so much for the mom. One of these days I won't break down every time my kids do something brilliant like- ride their bike for the first time, or hug a sibling that is hurt, or walk into their kindergarten class, or sing in church- well probably not so I guess the world will just have to deal with me and I will just have to stay embarrassed.

I think it's really sweet. I'm so going to be there next year! I get choked up when Maggie gives a talk by herself in Primary. Reagan really is such a cutie!
K, Sara....
Can I tell you how alike we are!! I actually teared up just reading your post! Wow
PS- I can't tell you how much you have taught Ellie in Preschool, because of your awesome teaching she has been placed in the kindergarden/first grade class for doing so well!! I am going to give your preschool a "shout out" on my blog..do you have a website I can send people to?
Hey Jaime, What a nice thing to say! That would be great is you wanted to let people know about my little school. My advertising is still at zero so anything would help! They can go to www.lilscholarsacademy.net or email me directly Sara@mydavisfam.com Thanks Again
Sara: It doesn't look like you need any tips on advertising your preschool. Word of mouth and being a brilliant teacher is the best way. I can see it is working for you in both cases.
