Chance is stinky!
This is what scripture study looks like most mornings for our Ry-guy . . .
Going to work with daddy . . .
She still feels the need to shmear face paint all over sometimes ??
Hangin' with Dad in the play fort . . .
We have THEE best neighbors ever! They have an awesome swing in their backyard that the kids LOVE to swing on . . .
The cub scouts had their day camp that ended in the "egg drop". The boys got to choose if they were going to be "protectors" and build something to prevent their egg from breaking or if they were going to be "destroyers" and build something that would demolish their egg.
Of course Ryan wanted to be a destroyer.
We actually forgot all week to help him build something so the morning of the drop we stuffed the raw egg inside a latex balloon then funneled about 1/2 cup of flour in with the egg, then blew the whole thing up and tied it off.
Ryan's egg was the first one dropped and I'll have to say it seriously made an impressive flour explotion.
He was sure proud of it
Everything is better when cousins are there . . .
Dalyn and Ryan invented tons of games this summer.
This is the one that has lasted through the months.
They call it juggle ball. It has nothing to do with juggling, something about bouncing the ball off the house?
I don't know all the rules, but I do know they spend hours playing it on the patio!
One Sunday Raegan started a water fight.
Terry finished it . . .
Playing school with her babies . . .
Lots of picnics outside . . .
Another one of Raegan's favorite things to do is choreograph dances and "shows" to her songs.
We have hours of video recorded of her many productions.
Here are a few pictures of one of them . . .
Do your boys play the ninja game?
This one only lasted about a month at our house.
The idea is you get in a starting position which looks like the picture then on your turn you get one fast movement to try to hit another opponent. You have to freeze in the position you move to and you get only one movement to try to avoid anothers attack. Your out if you get hit.
Anyway the boys had tons of fun with it and even convinced Terry to play a couple of rounds . . .
And this . . .
This is what we do at our house if the kids have bad manners at the table, like burping or other unpleasant bodily functions that kids think are hillarious.
On this particular day they were all excused to do push ups and sit ups before being allowed to return and eat their food . . .
Does it work . . . . no, not really :-/
Sometimes a good burp is just too good to pass up and they willingly do push ups just to get a good laugh out of the others . . .*sigh*
And if you think we didn't do our fair share of this, this summer . . .well that would be silly.
This was movie night. I think they all watched something different, and we let them
I still have WAY more summer to catch up on!
Stay tuned :)
