My Big Baby Girl

We gave it another go . . . The Big Girl Bed.

This time was much smoother! And yes that is her crib mattress jammed between her bed and the wall. I was worried about her falling off the bed that way . . .safety first ;)The first couple of nights we did have to put her back about 25 times at least, I think we still would. We sit with her until she falls asleep every night, or she spends so much time getting up it takes her 2 hours to go to sleep. If we just sit in the room for 10 minutes or so she doesn't even try to get out and is asleep in no time.

Nap times were a challenge until this little beauty . . .

It didn't take her long to figure out when we put her in her room for a nap, she can't get out, so she may as well just go to sleep. It works well on the nights we can't sit with her too. We tell her if she gets out of bed we close the door, it's a pretty good deterrent.

Of course some days she will stand at the door and cry a little trying to get out but she realizes it is futile and climbs back in bed . . .usually.

We have only had two naps that ended up like this . . .

In other Jilli news, we have gone from one extreme to the other. Remember the challenge in keeping clothes on the child now this is the struggle . . .

She can get herself dressed now and loves to do it all. day. long. Doesn't matter if she is already dressed the more outfits she can pile on the better!

Another new favorite is Bubble Gum . . . you know bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish, how many pieces do you wish.

She also plays Ink-a-bink a bottle of ink the cork fell out and you stink.

Seriously cute!

She also says "otay, pinty bomise". That's "Okay, Pinky Promise" if we tell her she can't do something for whatever reason she says"Otay won't, pinty bomise!"

She is smart as a whip . . . now to potty train, ugh!
