Table Rock and Race # 2

Last weekend Terry and I raced in a couples relay.
It was called the Couple Truffle Shuffle. They handed out Harry & Davids Truffles to the runners after the race . . .I did not get to enjoy those because just the thought of scarfing truffles after running was enough to make me . . . well not eat one :)

I ran first and finished in 29 something minutes (that is a major accomplishment for me to come in under 30!!) and Terry cranked his out in 26 something! It was a lot of fun! Can't wait till next months!After the race we got some lunch for the kids . . . including ice cream . . .Then headed to the upper table rock trail . . .The kids did surprisingly well. The trail is about 3 miles up. I thought for sure we would have tears and tons of complaining . . . not so . . .except for Ryan, he struggled.Once we finally got to the top the kids found a soft grassy mound and died for a minute . . .Janie was only interested in all the flowers, and had fun filling her pockets. When we got back to the trail head on the way down I noticed all the signs posted about the endangered wild flowers located on table rock . . . oops!It was probably the most enjoyable weekend we have had in a long time! It made me want spring to come . . . like tomorrow!
