Christmas Morning!

Christmas Morning was SO FUN this year! Of course Terry and I were WAY more excited then the kids. I thought this might be the year they all woke up early . . . but no :(

So Terry and I were up at 5 just waiting in anticipation and knocked around the house loud enough they finally woke up :)

Santa was good to them this year!

Among the loot this little treat . . .

Yup . . . we have another dog. Allow me to explain . . .

Remember this little dog that we owned for only five months . . .
Remember when this (terry got rid of our two dogs with out telling me) and then this (I could only get one of them back) happened? Raegan was devastated, she really loved that little mutt.

We told her when life calmed down and our family was more ready we would get her another dog to replace Cherry. So Santa has been on the hunt for MONTHS trying to find the perfect dog.
As a mom I allow dogs in my home for ONE reason . . .I believe kids should grow up with pets . . .the end. I do not like them they are stinky and messy and hairy and loud and expensive, but it is right up there with the dirt . . . a must for every child. When my kids are in college I will not have pets . . . or dirt :)
But I have learned a few valuable lessons in our dog dramas. We don't HAVE to get a puppy, we don't HAVE to get a dog that sheds and we can find one that is already house trained! So after much searching we have Cherry (part two). With MUCH help from Nana (she stashed Cherry for the month before Christmas and worked out all house training kinks),
and Raegan is in LOVE . . .

. . . And it's worth it!

Merry Christmas! Looks like it was a success! And that is one cute doggy! I think you are right, kids do need pets. You are a good Mother. We have a dog, but it's more for me than for the kids.
