When we got there it was raining, so the kids and I hung out it the car while Terry unloaded everything and set up the tent :>
Then we chilled in the tent while it rained . . .
Enjoyed our delish camp dinner of beans and wieners . . .
Then once it finally stopped raining we went out around the fire and drank some yummy hot cocoa, out of bowls . . .because bowls hold more of course . . .not cuz mom forgot to pack things like plates and forks and spoons and cups and general eating stuff, and there was one random pack of bowls and spoons in our van . . . ;)
The boys were all like . . .
And the girls were all like . . .
I never laughed so hard watching Raegans face . . .
They all cooked their trouts and actually liked them for the most part.
The next morning the BLM put on a HUGE free breakfast . . .
And provided boat rides and fishing gear for everyone to use . . .
The kids all caught more fish on the boat but due to the previous nights lesson of "you must clean and eat what you catch," they all opted for catch and release . . .
Then the kids got to do a bunch of crafts,
like paint a real, dead, giant fish then smash it onto a tee shirt to take home and wear to bed between their clean sheets . . .awesome idea!
Over all it was an awesome little camping trip. I guess the fish people do this every year. We plan on making it a tradition, the kids had a blast!
There was even a raffle for the kids. Dalyn made off with a sweet fishing pole and Raegan got a tackle box!

Hey Sarah. It's Jackie, I hope you don't mind me putting you on my friends list. I have been stalking your blog for a while now.
Your family is so beautiful. Your camping trip looked like so much fun. I can't wait to have a bigger family and go on little family outings. So fun!
