Well that was quite the blogging break I took, but I am back!
I am going to do major catch up and since this blog is my journal, my way to document the little things in my life that other wise happen and are then forgotten there is a TON and some of it from as far away as a month ago or more, so alas, if you want to hang in for the ride we have a lot to cover!
Most recent is our spring break trip to the beach house.
My my great grandmother lived in Fort Bragg California, as kids we vacationed their every year. My grandma is gone now but the house and the memories are still there so we try to go when we can for some fun family time.
It is in Northern Calif. so the beach is ALWAYS freezing, hence all the pictures of the kids in snow coats, it really was cold!
When we first got there Graeson wanted nothing to do with the sand, we got a good laugh out of watching her do all she could to avoid getting her feet in it.
It didn't take her long to warm up to the stuff.
We had some day excursions too. We took the kids on a bike ride, they got to go off road for part of it so that was a thrill.
One night we went out to dinner and we all went bowling, well the kids bowled. When we got there and saw the prices, Terry and my cheap bones kicked in and we decided to be scorekeepers (yes we had to keep our own score, way old school) and the cheerleaders.

One day we took a road trip up Hwy 1 about 40 miles, but since it was up Hwy 1 it took 1 1/2 hours and many barf stops later.
We went to the drive through tree

And the gravity house on confusion hill, where you walk at a 45 and balls roll up till so does the dripping water, It made me super dizzy so I had to wait at the bottom of the hill for them to return.

Had a little picnic

And enjoyed the scenery on the way back.
Then treated ourselves to some yummy ice cream when we got back into town.
Of course the highlight was the beach. I think there were only two days in the whole trip that we didn't spend some time on the beach. We had to scope out the best wind block spots, but once we found those it was a lot of fun!

We even brought Last Chance and Cherry with us, they loved the sand and ocean, good thing too!

While we were there the kids were eating Mandarin oranges like they were going out of style, my figures got so sore from peeling them, that I told them they would have to peel their own if they wanted any more, who was the first to accomplish this feat . . . Graeson (lil miss independent), not to be shown up by a one year old the older kids quickly followed suit!

SUPER FUN VACATION, and this is not even where it all started, that will have to be another post though because this has taken WAY too long!
