We are still here!

Well what a lot of change we have been through since I posted last!

I am happy to report our move to Charlotte went smoothly, just as we had planned. The adjusting part has been pretty difficult however! I think for me more then the kids. Raegan is having the hardest time of all the kids, but she is doing pretty well. We have had a couple of good cries together and that helps, but lets face it change (especially this HUGE of a change) is not easy, and really not very fun . . .yet.

I have SOOO much to catch up on! But in the spirit of reminiscing and saying good bye to the old here are a few pictures of our cute, tiny house that is currently for sale and empty in Oregon.

Miss that fireplace SO much!

Look at all that counter space . . .*sigh*

Two things I know about myself and kitchens now is a good fridge is a BIG DEAL! and a good spacious sink is a BIG DEAL! Miss the fridge the most! Oh, and our oven now is so teeny. I can't even fit my favorite cookie sheets that our super awesome neighbors (who I miss like crazy) gave us.
I had a lot of storage at that house and the house I am in now also has a lot of storage and cabinets so I am super thankful for that!

Love that the dining room looks outside over the backyard . . .

Oh, I miss my tree!

Don't miss my not-a-laundry room! I actually have an actual laundry ROOM now . . .the light in it doesn't work yet, but I have a room non the less!

The kids rooms were so tiny but cozy! They have enough room to fit the beds, not as bunk beds, AND their dressers . . .

Even the girls. You really had to master the bob and weave to manuver those bunkbeds! Now all three beds are on the ground AND their dressers and there is still tons of floor space, but still miss those rooms . . .

It's amazing even with all the same bedding and pillows how different one room can look from another!

Miss my pretty little master bedroom . . .

Remember the bathroom remodel I never followed up with? Well here is the grand finale'
Terry did a beautiful job!

He built all those cabinets himself . . .

Laid every one of those tiles for that awesome huge shower . . .
Miss that bathroom!

This was the only other bathroom we had and the first bathroom we attempted. Another thing I learned about myself and houses, fiberglass tubs and showers . . . NO!!!  . . . I will always and forever put in cast iron tubs and surround them in . . .NOT fiberglass!
Miss that tub and the ability I had to actually CLEAN it. . .

I miss our 5 apple trees!

I miss our old, rickety red fence .  . .

I miss all the grass we had! Our yard in Oregon was in bad shape, but compared to what it was when we moved it, it was lush!

We don't have one blade of grass at this new house :(  more on that later
Oh, the backyard! A work in progress . . . miss it!

We actually shot our family pictures in our yard this year because we were moving and wanted to document our "real life"
I'll show more pictures of the backyard when I post those

We lived in that house for almost 7 years, brought two babies home to it and I don't think there was a wall or fixture or molding that we hadn't touched/remodeled.
I did have a lot of complaints about that tiny house but it was home for a lot of years and I miss it!
I miss our neighbors and our school and my sense of support and friends we all had there, the kids and Terry and I.
We know we are supposed to be in NC right now and we know we will grow to love it here, but that time is not today, so that is hard!
LOVE YOU OREGON!!
