So there is a ton of stuff I have been wanted to blog about Jilli.
This girl is a riot!
Here are a few of our family favorite lately.
We are trying to encourage her to potty train. We ask her all. the. time. when she is going to start going potty in the toilet. Her answer every time . . ."Ater Wens-day" (after Wednesday) If it happens to be Thursday when we ask and inform her that it IS after Wednesday she says, "NO! ATER. WENS-DAY."
A friend let us borrow a potty watch. It is this super cute little watch the kids wear and it flashes and sings a song when its time for the kids to sit on the potty. When we brought it home she was so thrilled and excited to wear it. After we explained that if she wore it and the lights flashed she would need to go sit on the potty. She got very concerned and said, "No, my hate it dat watch. Give it back." and refused to put it on in fear the lights would go off and she would have to sit on the potty.
That's another thing, if she doesn't like something she says "hate it" We've never had a "hater" until her. She is the first child I heard "hate you" from . . .a lot actually.
"What shoes are you going to wear?" "Ummmm, how bu-bout, my poopy shoes"
"What do you want for lunch?" "Ummmm, how bu-bout, poopy sandwich."
I helped the kids make little friend books for their friends to sign with their phone numbers so the kids could get in touch with them this summer. The kids each told me what they wanted their book called we had Summer Friends, Fun Friends Fonebook, and of course Jilli, "My Poopy Friends". I made the mistake of writing it on her book thinking no one would ever see it, but NOTHING is lost on this child. She proceeded to pack it around town and ask people to sign it for her . . .awesome.
"Jilli we are going to the park now." . . . "Willy?"
"Daddy is on his way home" . . ."Willy?"
"You have to eat your lunch first" . . ."Willy?"
It's probably one of those things you have to hear to appreciate, but it keeps us laughing.
She loves to "read" the Articles of Faith and they all begin with "Leave a Leave" (We Believe)
She also says the Pledge of Allegiance-With her hand on her neck "In-ba-bisl live with him someday"
She tells everyone her name is Joseph Kaylene pronounced "Doe-sup Taylene". Don't ask me why. Her middle name is Kaylene and Ryan's middle name is Joseph so she hears both frequently, but why she put the two together, I have no idea. And just so you know if we are playing a game my name is Mamasina.
She LOVES to do her own hair. I am highly amused that she can actually do it. She uses her little teeth to stretch the band over her hand then gathers the hair to make a "tail". She puts "tails" in everything and gets very annoyed if you take them out within the first five minutes. I may have a few bald spots thanks to her "tail" skills
She loves to dress herself. It is still a challenge keeping clothes on her though. I catch her trying to disrobe in public VERY frequently.
Make up is another favorite. Serious nightmare. As careful as I try to be with everything she still manages to find it, everyday.
She is most definitely the baby and is quick to remind everyone. If she hears me referring to any of the other kids as "baby" (which I do frequently) she will pipe up, "No my da baby."
The kids love treating her like the baby too. They are all super patient with her (usually) and think everything she does and says is hilarious.
We sure love this little monkey!
