April Fools

We did a lot of our usual.I sprinkled the bottom of their cereal bowls with chocolate milk mix then poured the TRIX (hehe) over the top so when they poured the milk in it would turn chocolate. And of course our "fried egg" . . . While they were eating breakfast a sneaked into the bathroom and got their toothbrushes ready, but not with toothpaste! With frosting . . .
I was really surprised how long it took all of them to figure out it wasn't toothpaste. Janie even spit a couple of times. Finally when I asked her "what is that?" she realized something was off.

For lunch, the usual. I opened all the chip bags from the bottom, switched the chips around, then double stick taped the bag back together. They thought they were opening one thing and got something else. I gave them cups of juice with a straw but it was actually jello. Those apples were supposed to look like cupcakes . . . they didn't but the kids like them anyway.

And of course the sandwich with a note (yes, I totally spelled got-cha wrong, but give me a break I was seriously rushing to get them done, the kids kept coming into the kitchen and I was trying to be sneaky)They are all getting wise to me. I am going to have to step up my April Fooling next year. Dalyn pulled the note out before even attempting a bite . . . For dinner we had dessert first!

Cinnamon Roll (bbq pork roll), Cupcake with frosting and sprinkles (meatloaf topped with mashed potatoes and sprinkled with colored salt), and fries (oven baked zucchini). . .

They scarfed it all . . .

Dessert was my favorite! Spaghetti and meatballs with sauce and cheese . . .

Ice cream, cake balls, raspberry jam, grated white chocolate. The kids were impressed! Of course I found the idea on pintrest (the bbq rolls and apple also).

Terry is out of town so it was just the kids and I all day. Playing tricks on each other and enjoying a wonderful conference. It was a pretty great day!
