First stop yourself from using foul language for the mess they make all over the yard and for the amount of time canning them takes!
Then spend A LOT of time making this . . .
It took me three days but then end result was about 80 something quars of applesauce and quite a few pints of apple butter. (I also did 11 quarts of beans that day too)P.S. That is only the apples off ONE tree. After that I said forget it and we threw the rest away. We couldn't give them away because Terry trimmed the trees right after that and most of the apples ended up on the ground smushed to pulp. We filled 10 huge black garbage bags full, and that took care of all the apples . . . all but the three trees we haven't cleaned off yet :-/ never ends at our house.
