. . .Our forth of July flag cake. This year we used our own strawberries and the kids were pretty sure it was the best cake yet . . .

After the cake we headed outside and put an individual cake in front of each of the kids. I started talking about how I thought it would be a fun idea if we each had our own cake to . . .have a CAKE FIGHT!!!

Yep we did, and it was AWESOME! My kids have been intrigued by the idea of "food fights" for a long time so Terry and I decided to have one! Super funny the kids are still talking about it . . .

We had a little snack of berries and whipped cream . . .

Played on our homemade slip and slide . . .

Then headed to nana and papas for a bbq . . .

Did some "daytime" fireworks . . .

My kids are nervous about fire works every year but warm up to them pretty quick . . .

It was an awesome day! Oh, and we had a watermelon seed spitting contest :)
