We found ourselves in San Fransisco last week. Terry had to go for work, so with gas and food and hotel paid for, how could we pass that up?
Our first stop was the Golden Gate Bridge.

We decided it would be awesome if we roller
blade across the Golden Gate Bridge. So Terry and I put the three little ones in strollers and
Dalyn and
Raegan strapped on their blades and away we went . . .

The kids made it all 1.7 miles over then 1.7 miles back, up hill both ways (really). We did have the wind at our back on the way over, coming back was a little tougher, but super fun still. Then we had a nice picnic when we finished!

After the bridge we headed to the pier . . .

Where we paid a bazillion dollars for four kids to ride this . . .

Then watched this joker walk across shards of broken glass with bare feet and HAMMER A 4 INCH NAIL UP HIS NOSE!!!!!! No I did not watch, the looks of horror on my kids faces were proof enough! (Where do these people come from?)

We went to the aquarium . . .

Then got some grub . . .

The hotel was posh! Especially for my kids who are used to Best Western or Motel 6 if we have Chance. It was a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with full kitchen (stainless steel and cherry cabinets, beautiful) Anyway we all felt pampered. Terry had to work that next day so the kids and I just hung out by the pool . . .

When Terry got off work we headed home, with a short stop at the Jelly Belly factory . . .

It was a fast trip but so fun!
The week before that we were in Portland over the 4
th. Again Terry had to be there for work so we jumped on that free vacation wagon!
On the way up we stopped at Salt Creek Falls, for a fun hike and picnic . . .

Then in Portland we played it up with family. My picture taking on this trip left much to be desired. We filled the week with parks and
BBQ's and swimming.

We are having an awesome summer. We have a couple more trips planned and one bi-
gantic garage sale. I might be glad for the rest when school starts again,
(I have to tell myself that cuz really I never like summer to come to an end!)
